Big Sky is a state recognized and award winning landscape maintenance, contractor, and design team. With additional top honored awards from the Better Business Bureau and membership with the nationally recognized Professional Landcare Network (PLANET), formerly Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) -- we're held to a higher standard. Winning these awards in design, safety, and service, and customer testimony after testimony, confirms our focus on the client and attention to detail.
Led by founder Kevin Roberts, Big Sky Landscaping approaches each project with his personal care and attention. Kevin's 25+ years of industry experience revolves around meeting with clients, listening carefully to their needs and wants, and then interpreting and expanding on their ideas. This process results in a successful landscape design that pleases clients and inspires the senses.
"We are so pleased with it (our backyard), honestly the whole project exceeded our expectations. We started out with very little back here, and very unusable space for us. We never came out here. Now this whole summer, we are out here every night, it's a sanctuary for us. "

"We hired Big Sky to work with us to improve our backyard landscape and install a water feature. In the end, Kevin Roberts and his team helped us re make our backyard into a park-like, peaceful sanctuary that we enjoy as much or more than any of our favorite rooms in the house.
Kevin initially came out and listened closely to our thoughts about a new water feature. You could tell from the very beginning that he was a professional, knew landscaping design and took a personal interest in the end product. Once he heard our thoughts, he recommended a number of things in the design that improved on what we had originally proposed. He designed a different position for the water feature in the landscape, one that could be viewed much better from inside the house and the patio. He then looked at the entire yard, and recommended some things that transformed our backyard into something really special.
We had thought about keeping an existing wood deck in our backyard, but he recommended changing this out to a more permanent, larger and lower maintenance stone patio. In addition, while we had a nice, private, border of mature trees and plants around the exterior of the property, he thought we could really upgrade the interior of the landscape and provide more of a focal point to the water feature. He recommended adding exterior lighting, a stone pathway to a distant garden and arbors that added uniqueness to the yard. Kevin personally selected most of the plants and large boulders that he also personally located throughout the yard. He gave a lot of consideration to lighting, view angles from the house and patio, and plant material. Everything was done in the timeframe, budget and completeness that was originally proposed. The crew was outstanding and took a special interest in the quality and cleanliness of the work site, throughout the process. What we really appreciated was Kevin's attention to detail and his desire to insure everything was perfect and done to our personal satisfaction.
In the end, we were extremely happy with the finished product! Our experience with the entire Big Sky team was fabulous from start to finish. We would highly recommend Big Sky to anyone that is interested in transforming their yard into a private sancuary!"

StreetStock enthusiasts will know that the StreetStock division was a part of Southern Oregon Speedway for five years from 2010 to 2014. The first year, no championship points were kept, and the track also ran Enduro races on some nights when they also had StreetStocks. The first champion was Duane Orsburn, who won back-to-back championships, the second ahead of Jordon Braaten, who won the third season's title. The record also shows that Miles Deubert was the last crowned StreetStock champion at Southern Oregon Speedway in 2014.
Though the division did manage to reach double digits on occasion in 2012 and 2013, rules changes saw the class decline rapidly, leaving many disappointed drivers who were hoping this could build into something. One driver who still has his Street Stock is Top 5 2014 competitor Garrett Dees. Though Dees is coming off of a "Rookie Of The Year" award winning season in Late Models, he is preparing his car in the hopes of winning the $1,000 first prize in this year's 50 lap Street Stock event. It's been speculated that if even a half a dozen drivers could materialize from the Medford area, the division might have a chance to rise again in the future.
In the meantime, The Road To The Iron Giant Street Stock Series will give the fans a taste of an exciting style of racing that they don't get to see very often in Medford. Street Stock and even Hobby Stock competitors from California and Nevada will also be welcome for the big event. Again, Kyle Yaeck, Jesse Yankee, Shannon Horn, James Whitehouse, Chris Sine, Jack Parshall, David Cronk and others are anticipated to be in attendance for the next installment of the Road
To The Iron Giant Series race will be on May 25th, 2019 at Southern Oregon Speedway.
2017 - Don Schotts
